Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults in AC/DC electric motors and related equipment
  
• Remove, replace, and align motor bearings
  
• Strip, inspect, repair, and reassemble electric motors
  
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on motors and rotating equipment
  
• Assist with or perform electric motor rewinding (desirable, not essential)
  
• Test motors after repair (insulation resistance, continuity, functionality)
  
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and motor data plates
  
• Ensure all work complies with electrical safety standards and procedures
  
• Maintain accurate service and repair records
  
• Support on-site installations, breakdowns, and commissioning as required
  

Requirements

Required Skills & Experience

• Qualified Electrician (trade qualification, apprenticeship, or equivalent)
  
• Proven hands-on experience with electric motors
  
• Strong experience in changing bearings and mechanical motor repairs
  
• Good understanding of motor operation, windings, and insulation systems
  
• Ability to use hand tools, lifting equipment, and electrical test instruments
  
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
  
• Strong focus on safety, quality, and attention to detail
