Associate
Director – Electrical Engineering (Data Centres)

We
are looking for a talented leader with a background in electrical engineering
to work in our data centre business based in Dublin working on projects across
Europe. You will work at the cutting edge of data centre design, delivering
latest generation solutions and developing emerging technologies. We have
designed major projects for the biggest hyperscale and colocation providers in
the world. You will lead a cross-regional, multi-discipline team to deliver
services to our local and international clients. The role offers excellent
prospects for career development and the opportunity to be involved in a
diverse and challenging range of projects.

 

As
an integral member of our multi-disciplinary team, you will be responsible for
the successful delivery of a variety of projects. You will be expected to
identify opportunities, secure commissions, take projects from initial brief
through scheme & detail design to installation and commissioning support.

 

This
role will harness your core electrical engineering skills and data centre
experience to provide technical guidance on multi-disciplinary data centre
projects, as well as mentoring and developing junior colleagues. This role will
also provide opportunity to use and develop your management skills and
experience. We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, enthusiastic and

Requirements

Your
responsibilities

·       Developing and managing new and
existing client relationships

·       Winning work though securing
opportunities and preparing proposals

·       Project Planning and Management

·       Conceptual design studies and reports

·       Leading multi-disciplinary teams of
engineers developing data centre projects throughout all levels of design and
construction

·       Estimating, procurement and cost
control on projects

·       Representing the design and / or
discipline team in discussions with the client and contractors regarding topics
such as:

o   design
solutions

o   PUE,
WUE 
and efficiencies

o   resilience
and business continuity

o   testing
and commissioning

·       Ensuring that all designs and documents
are prepared to the highest standards

·       Managing commercial performance of
projects

·       Mentoring and development of junior and
senior engineers in the group

·       Participation in industry wide events
and conferences

·       Providing technical leadership and
mentoring to the wider electrical team

·       Contributing to business strategies to
help guide the firm and continue our success
