Procurement Associate
Temporary Position – Maternity Cover
Location – Dublin.

Infrastructure team provides AWS and Amazon.com with the compute, network and
data centre capacity that are the foundations of the retail and cloud business.
For this fixed term, maternity cover, position, AWS is seeking a motivated and
data-driven Services Procurement Associate to support the EMEA data centre
construction space. The candidate should have strong supplier and procurement
skills, analytical and financial acumen, communication capabilities and a
hands-on passion to dive-deep into processes used in our data center operations
network.
As a Services Procurement Associate, you will support the supplier onboarding process
and collaborate with internal business partners and suppliers to reduce risks
and costs for AWS. You will develop mechanisms and metrics to onboard suppliers
and ensure that new suppliers are onboarded in a reliable and timely manner.
You will also support global Procurement processes and tools to drive
innovation across teams.
The ideal candidate thinks long term, drives multiple initiatives, and

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Support
supplier identification and onboarding activities - Manage
a ticketing system for requests for suppliers from customers - Conduct
supplier due diligence and manage the supplier onboarding process - Carry
out supplier data administration in our supplier database - Analyse
supplier data and metrics to drive Procurement category strategies - Understand
trends in customers’ needs and concerns, across categories and regions, to
influence customers’ priorities - Lead
supplier selection process across multiple categories, internal teams, and
regions, and create longer-term supplier selection strategies for
management - Ensure
you are knowledgeable about the supply market and supplier capabilities,
technically and geographically - Innovate
within the supplier onboarding space, automating and/or improving tools or
processes to better support the supplier Life-cycle - Provide
support throughout the supplier contracting process, as well as management
of contracts post-execution.
Basic qualifications
- Bachelor’s
Degree from an accredited university or equivalent combination of
education and experience - 3+
years’ experience in a Procurement organization performing vendor
management, contract management, negotiating complex purchases, and
bidding - Demonstrated
ability as a Project Manager who can prioritize workload and manage
complex projects within cost and schedule - Strong
business judgement, instincts, and organizational skills - Excellent
communication skills, both verbal and written - Highly
proficient in MS Office - Ability
to work with technical and non-technical business owners to overcome
obstacles and deliver results
