Job Description

Our
client is seeking to appoint Technical Lead to be the Technical Subject Matter
Expert to actively support and enable the technical implementation of RCPI’s
strategic change programme which includes complex technical, business systems
and change projects and programmes.

 

Currently
our client is progressing a significant programme of transformation across the
organisation, and the successful candidate must demonstrate a proven ability to
support this initiative based on previous experience in similar programmes of
work.

 

We
are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Technical Lead specialised in
innovation and user experience to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will
be responsible for driving innovation in our programmes and projects and
ensuring exceptional user experiences across our products and services. As a
Technical Lead, you will play a crucial role in leading a team of engineers,
collaborating with designers, and driving the adoption of cutting-edge
technologies to enhance our products.

 

The
Technical Lead will work to:

·       Assume responsibility for technical
definition of new solutions, identifying technical requirements, opportunities
and recommend relevant technical changes to strategies, structures, policies,
processes and technology throughout the Discovery and Implementation phases.

·       Ensure tasks and activities assigned
are delivered efficiently.

·       Change is successfully embedded
throughout the organisation.

·       Coordinate with change programme team
and stakeholders to ensure their needs are met.

·       Continually
enhance and support end user experience as a major technical deliverable of
this programme.

·       Conduct assessments on the success of
change post-implementation.

 

This
is a unique opportunity for a Technical Lead to work within a dynamic and
rapidly developing area for our client and to support the delivery of a
significant change programme for RCPI.

This
role will suit someone with a number of years of technical lead experience
within the Microsoft Dynamics 365 platform, who has the ability to work in
complex business environments and who easily engages both key stakeholders and
end users.  The position will appeal to a
self-starting, energetic individual who enjoys fresh challenges in an
organisation undergoing increased growth and internationalism.

The
person will have experience in requirements definition, identifying optimum
solutions and a proven history of working on change programmes from inception
to close.

Relationship

The
Technical Lead will report to the Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

 

Standard
Duties of the Post

Duties
will involve, but are not limited to:

·         Liaise directly with
vendor/partner on the technical aspects of solutions and associated delivery.

·         Guide and manage the
overall technical architecture on systems and associated integrations.

·         Plan, design, estimate,
develop and implement Power Platform solutions based on established patterns
and best practices, working with development teams as well as directly with
customers.

·         Lead technical
development teams across different customer accounts, take ownership of
deliverables and be responsible for the technical quality of the team’s output,
enforcing standards.

·         Liaise directly with end
users to gather/refine requirements, if required

·         Assist in driving the
adoption of cloud solutions using the Power Platform and provide technical
advice to team members.

·         Meet with business
experts to understand current systems, processes and the ongoing / future state
requirements and develop appropriate technical solutions.

·         Understanding of
the agile implementation process

·         Familiarity with
requirements techniques such as, user stories, use cases, and informal
modelling of product backlog requirements, and transforming into technical
specifications and solutions.

·         Supporting the business and end users by providing training,
system advice, engagement tools, learning aids and other engagement
initiatives; being the central knowledge on Dynamic platform.

·         Support the delivery of
technology through system testing and UAT, training and cross department
business practice change.

·         Support the transition of
the change deliverables into operational areas.

·         Support post
implementation reviews with the business assessing business practice change,
policies and procedures, reporting, training and implement measures to address
any shortfalls.

·         Provide regular progress
reports to the programme management team.

·         Any other tasks that may
be assigned from time to time as business needs require.

 

Person
Specification

·       Educated to degree level
standard or equivalent.

·       5+ years proven
capability and experience in a Technical Lead role within Dynamics 365 platform
environment.

·       Proven track record
working with or within 1 or more of the following disciplines, solution
architecture, design, implementation, software quality, transformation, and
change management.

·       Ability to work in
complex business and technical environments.

·       Experience in an
educational institution / professional body desirable

·       Demonstrated project
experience developing and implementing solutions using Dynamics 365

·       Comprehensive
understanding of Non-Functional Requirements

·       Experience developing
solutions using the Power Platform (Power Apps Model Driven and Canvas Apps,
Power Automate, Power Virtual Agents)

·       Excellent customer
service and communication skills

·       Development experience
using Microsoft stack (.NET/C#/TypeScript/SQL Server)

·       Experience in
implementing and using other data stores (SQL/SharePoint/Lists)

·       Experience working with
testing strategies and tools for Power Platform solutions.

·       Experience working with
Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) strategies for the Power Platform

·       Experience with Agile
methodologies.

·       Experience integrating
PowerApps solutions with APIs or third-party solutions.

·       Experience with the wider
Microsoft 365 platform including SharePoint, Forms, Teams
